Emproof recognised as one of the top cybersecurity start-ups at the Bochum Edition of ESCO Cyber Investor Days

Earlier this month Emproof pitched at the Bochum Edition of European Cyber Security Organisation (ESCO) Cyber Investment Day and was successful in presenting its innovative embedded security solution to progress to the next stage of the awards along with computer and network security company QuoIntelligence.

Our Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, Marc Fyrbiak, took to the stage to present our vision for securing embedded systems, highlighting the unique challenges and opportunities within autonomous and unmanned technologies. In front of an expert jury, investors, and corporate representatives, he showcased how our approach provides the resilience and trust these systems demand for mission-critical operations in contested environments. It was an exciting opportunity to demonstrate not only the relevance of embedded security in today’s digital landscape but also its decisive role in shaping the future of unmanned systems.

“At Emproof, we believe embedded security should enable innovation, not constrain it. That’s why we focus on uncompromising engineering, functional safety and minimal overhead. These are the qualities that allow constrained embedded systems to operate securely and efficiently at scale. Our vision is to set a new standard where security is not an obstacle, but a foundation for the next generation of connected technologies across both civilian and defence sectors.” – said Marc Fyrbiak, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Emproof.

The event brought together some of Europe’s boldest cybersecurity companies, each showcasing solutions designed to tackle today’s most pressing security challenges. For Emproof, it was a chance to highlight how our technology ensures embedded security is not an afterthought, but a foundational element that underpins safe and reliable systems across industries.

We are honoured that the jury recognised our work with a nomination for the ECSO STARtup Award 2026. The STARtup Award celebrates emerging cybersecurity companies that are developing innovative solutions to address critical challenges. Winners benefit from mentorship, increased visibility within the European cybersecurity ecosystem, and opportunities to join ECSO’s CYBERSECURITY MADE IN EUROPE Label programme, opening doors to new collaborations and market opportunities.

For Emproof, this nomination marks an important milestone. It highlights not only the innovation driving our solutions but also the growing recognition of embedded security as a cornerstone of Europe’s technology landscape. This acknowledgment reinforces our commitment to delivering practical, scalable protections that secure embedded software at the core of both civilian and military applications, where reliability and resilience are mission-critical.We are proud of what we achieved in Bochum and excited to continue building momentum as we work towards the STARtup Award final in early 2026.
